I have a 13 year old son,who I am looking after by myself,due to the fact that his mother walked out of our lives, and chose the booze and the one night stands over us.Putting all that behind us, I am now stuck with a massive problem of getting him to school every day. The 'Anti Smacking Law' was passed thru parliment last year and because my boy , for the first 10 years of his life, was told, not to listen to his father, and if he said anything ' just tell Dad to get Fucked.I get no respect at all.Great, so not only have I got this lack of obedience, I cant even reprimand him ,just in case I get arrested and throwen into jail, for clouting my son. This is bloody rediculess. How can we disipline our children when there are all these so called 'do gooders', supporting this bill.
Only this morning, I was trying to get him to get himself ready, he was defiying me and I was starting to raise my voice. When I looked out my window, there were two women standing by my fence listening to me shouting at my son .When I parted the blind ,they saw me, and quikly moved on.. I could read what was going thru their minds, and I think they were just waiting to see if I was going to hit him..and I gaurentee if I had,the 'law' would have been around on my doorstep within seconds..
So, what do you do?, say nothing and let the little shit get away with it, or, give him a biff around the earhole, and face getting prosecuted,or throwen in jail... |
