What are you waiting for?
I've been asked by multiple people now to recreate a former blog entry I had on achieving the Cherry Inferno. For those of you who have been in outer space, or are just reaching the higher levels, the Cherry Inferno achievement is this: bomb 119 folders with a single Cherry Bomb bling. I've managed to achieve this more than enough times to prove that this method works, although I'm sure its not the only method:
1. Log into Fubar using Google Chrome browser or Mozilla Firefox. I have been unable to achieve the Inferno using IE, and from my understading talking to Apple users, Safari is difficult to use as well. Under "My Settings", click on "yes" to ignore skins" and shut down your shout box so that no one can chat with you. You will need as little lag as possible in order to achieve the Inferno. I do my Inferno attempts early in the AM (midnight to 3am, Fu time, which is the time of the day with the least amount of lag time on the Fu servers - allowing maximum performance)
2. Shut down everything else running on your computer, or at least as much as possible.
3. Clear your cache. This will force you to log back into Fubar.
4. Go to Top girls or Top guys page. This will list the top men or women for the week. This isn't necessary, but does help you keep track of how many you have bombed.
5. Bring up #1 in a separate tab on your browser.
6. Activate the bomb and click on the profile pic of #1, to bring up the option to "bomb this folder" for the default folder.
7. Simultaneously, bomb the folder and depress the start button on a stopwatch. This stopwatch can be any stopwatch, as long as it reads in the hundredths of a second. I use my Ipod Touch stopwatch function, and it has worked reliably.
8. This will start the 30 second between bombs counter. Exit out of the #1 tab, and pull up #2 in a separate tab. At the 25 second mark, click on the profile pic to bring up the option to "bomb this folder". At the 30.00 mark, bomb the folder.
9. Repeat this pattern for an hour.
Sounds easy, doesn't it? Well, it is...if nothing goes wrong, you should bomb 120 folders. I even managed 121 once, although this requires absolute perfection, and a couple of seconds grace on the part of Fu.
But what happens if something goes wrong? Well, first off, don't panic. Say you accidentally hit the bomb button at 29 seconds, and its rejected. Quickly refresh the page and bomb the folder, noting what time on the stopwatch you did so. Let's say you hit the bomb button at 35 seconds. Well, adjust the time for your next bomb to 1:05, then 1:35, and so on.
