Judge Me
I know who I am, For better and worse. I embrace myself, Instead of feeling cursed. I've danced with the devil, And fallen flat on my face. But I picked myself up And continued the race. You tell me I'm twisted, And maybe it's true. But I live out my fantasies, Can't say that for you. There's a dark hidden passion That yearns to come out. I follow my instincts, There's no need to shout About what you don't know And perhaps never will. But I'll revel in my glory Til eternity stands still. I'll go to my grave With no remorse or regrets. You'll go to yours As someone easy to forget. I have learned to live, Not just to survive. I could probably teach you How to truly be alive. But you bury your head To hide from the pain, You look for the sun Though you find only rain. And this box where you keep Your heart and your soul Will stay chained and locked So they remain whole. But they will wither and die Without room to grow. So you'd best shut your mouth And find out what others know. I have discovered The true meaning of life. It's embracing ourselves, Through peril and strife. I hold to my passions, I live out my dreams. You yell and you fight, And you drown in your screams. I have been through it all, And I came out on top. Now I live for myself, And I never will stop.
