| Weekly you see and hear of someone famous screwing up in a big way. I often vent my thoughts on their screw up and get critized for my honest feeling about it. Should politicians, the famous and the ruch get specialized treatment and easy sentences for their crimes? Lindsey Lohan got caught with coke a couple of times and never served more that a few days. Paris gets busted for several felonies and serves days. Martha Stweart gets busted and serves less than 10% the recommended time. You see and hear them getting DUI's, drugs, violent crimes and many other felonies and get nothing, notta, zip, a smack on the hands at most. Now the average citizen would get years in prison, 1000's of dollars in fines and years of probation. Then you hear of a nobody who gets busted, the DA and the judge go on the news saying "We are making an example of them" and gives them a stiff sentence and heavy fines. Shouldn't the nations examples be made of the famous? After all they are the example todays youth try to follow. In my opinion politicians, lawmakers and law enforcers who get bust for crimes should be made the example and get DOUBLE fines and prison terms, after all they create the laws and enforce them. Bill Clinton admited to smoking weed, George Bush admitted to doing Coke yet they are the enforcers on the "WAR ON DRUGS" Screw the double standards I say. What do you think? |
