My dad has always been my hero. I;m the oldest of 6, he did everything he knew how to raise us. We never had much but,he always did his very best. My dad has always been the rock in my family, he worked for Southwestern Bell for over 37 years and never missed a day of work, not in 37 years.My dad has never smoked or drank his whole life and has always been healthy. My dad is 78 right now. A month ago he and my mom went in to get their yearly physical, the found a small tumor on his lung, did a biopsy, it was cancer.My dad went into the hospital last Mon, (17th). They operated on him and ended up taking out half of his lung. I went to see him Wed and he was talking and just wanting to go home. Back up, Tues was my mom and dads 57 wedding anniversary Wed evening I got a call to get to the hospital, My dads heart had stopped and the called a code blue on him. Right now he is breathing by a machine.He cant give up... he is mt hero, Michael
