This has got to be BY FAR the hardest thing I've ever done.
I've been dialing and redialing for over 20 minutes STRAIGHT and the line's busy busy busy!!! Let me give you some history here.
I owned a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 when I was still living in New York. Well, it was no longer driveable, so I cancelled insurance on it. Little did I know that in New York, even non-driveable vehicles are REQUIRED to have minimum insurance on it. So they suspended my license.
Now I'm trying to call in to pay my $25.00 suspension termination fee so I can get my Colorado state driver's license. DAMN these people. I mean don't get me wrong, I thought I was going to have to pay like $500. So I'm happy about that.
But they want me to spend ALL DAMN DAY on the phone trying to get through to them, pay my $25.00 suspension termination fee, then have me wait a week before getting my Colorado license because that's how long it takes for it to update in the national database.
How desperate do they think I am?!? Sheesh!
Oh and let's not even GO into what I had to do to *GET* my New York driver's license when I moved there from Florida back in 2005.
