Breathe Have you ever Stepped outside on A cold as steel day Just to see your breath? Is that affirmation The same as pinching oneself To see if A happy instance Is not a dream? Have you looked furtively? Into the mirror or Window of A drugstore To catch a reflection of very brown eyes Wanting to see oneself as others do? Why the desire to know The number of blonde hairs Found in the morning brush? Why care? Why? The breath comes natural, The happy instance is just that, The reflection is, The warmth of the brown, Each wrinkle the result of a smile, Just be…breathe Remember and know I love you my new friend…..
