Sadie Grace Love Me Or Hate Me Either W's blog: "Blogs For Helping Me While Billy Is Gone..."

Hey there everyone, Hope as is well for everyone and that everyone has had an awesome summer so far... I know I sure have missed you guys and gals since I have been away... Have good news to share, Billy is Leaving Iraq on Sept. 18th to come home... This tour has had it's ups and downs that's for sure... What a freaking deployment!!! this was suppsoed to be the easiest and turned out to be the worst. I came with one company as the comm cheif and a SGT, and now i leave with a diffent company as a regular radio operator and a CPL. but i met tons of new friends, a few new enemies, and gret opportunities for when i get out to the USMC. I played a good amount of poker, learned alot, and appreciate a little bit more. I lost my best friend and the one i loved the most, i lost one of my dogs (sparkey) and my bird that i caught my senior year. I have had to go to medical concerning sleep and take ambien, i had tons of talks with the chaplian. I had friends lose loved ones and lost one of the greatest church friends i ever had in Bill Morgan. My little Neice turned one and is now walking and is working on saying Uncle Billy. SHe can point out my picture already. I have reconnected with alot of friends i had in High School, i have gotten alot of new music and got to talk with a few of my favorite bands. I saw puddle of mudd in concert here, and met Gary Sinese(Lt. Dan from forrest Gump). i hve expanded musical horizons, and even gottan a few plans for my future changed. We jammed out with the bassist from filter. I did a good amount of martial arts and moved up to green belt. brown belt was put on hold for me since i had a partially collapsed lung. my lung healed up just fine. I connected and worked with a good numer of Ugandans and now i think i will add a ugandan trip to my list of travels. I made a few new best friends, and will watch the panthers go to the super bowl this year, and i might go to durham for the world beer festival. (300 differnt beers!!!!!) Soo all i all its been good and bad, kind of expected ups and down. I cant wait to get back to good wings, beer, poker, pool, darts, and of course all my friends, fans, and family. my motorcycle and the carolina blonde brewery are calling my name... hehe. soooo.. now the part you have been waiting for and read all the above to get too... as of right now i am supposed to leave this amaizng piece of paradise desert on september 18th!!!! means i will be back earlier than planned.. so get ready.. lol... well, i shall go for now.. hope to hear from you soon.. holla!!! Hey Ya'll, Just recieved the news that Billy's deployment will be February 6-10... God, please make sure to say an extra prayer for Billy for a while... He is due back in September... Again will keep you updated... Huggs and kisses to all, ~ Sadie Grace ~

Get ready to add Billy to your prayers once again, ya'll... He is going back to Iraq in February... Each time he was suppose to go last year, the prayers worked and it kept getting pushed farther away... Well, now I have seen the paperwork and he goes next month... I know he's not the first nor the only one for that matter, but please keep him in your prayers and I will keep you updated while he's there... He should be back in September... This is to be his third tour over there and it scares the living hell out of me this time... He turned 19 there and looks like he will turn 24 over there this time... Wow and that was right after it started... Can't it just end and no one go back, unless they go of their own free will ??? I will get his myspace and email address on here before he leaves... I was sitting here missing my Dad this mornin', so I was adding an Elvis section to my stash for Dad, Dad was the biggest Elvis fan ever...when I miss him I just listen to Elvis...While doing this this mornin' I ened up with my thoughts on someone else as I was watching the video for the song My Way....now it has always reminded me of my 3 children since they were born...they definitely do things their on way...But this mornin' my thoughts settled on Billy...You see Billy has been through alot in life, as we all have, but the way he looks at things in life, lets me know I didn't do too bad as a Mom...Billy has an oxymoron (hope I spelt that right) he use as his nick name, it is Loser 1....He says the loser has finally won...my son is far from a loser and he knows it but, he has done it his way and refuses to do things other than the way they should be done...he has over come much adversity in his young life and has seen and done more than I could ever hope to do...Sorry for rambling on, just thoughts going through my head at the moment and wanted to share with you guys, thanks for being there ya'll...huggs

Anyone who has read my profile or who knows me outside of CT, knows my oldest son is in the United States Marine Corp...He did get to come home for the Easter holiday and is still sleeping this mornin', in my bed where I KNOW he is safe and sound for the time being...He did let me in on a bit of info tho... Come July there stands a very strong chance that he will be going back to Iraq...This will be his third time of going... I know it is his carrer of choosing but he signed up exactly 2 months b4 9/11, on July 11... Come July I will become a basket case if he goes back, and will be calling you guys and gals of Cherry Tap to become my support group....I know you all will be there for me tho, ya'll always are...Just wanted to give ya'll the heads up... My love goes out to each and everyone of you who may know or have someone in the military... Will keep ya'll updated as the time gets nearer and then passes....
