Many people wonder just what exactally my beliefs are so in order to save myself a lot of typing I will explain it here:
In wicca you learn that there is a power Higher than the Goddess and God (The Lady and Lord) and that power is only known as "The Creator". In Christianity that power is called "God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit". Many other pagans have the belief that "All Gods Are One God" so we worship one God in many forms. I was raised Baptist, Methodist then went Non-Denominational and now my beleifs are as they were, only that god isn't the cruel dictator that christiany makes him out to be. Even in the Ten Commandments it says "Thou Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me" as my beliefs changed I found the following:
1. There are other Gods.
2. They are not "before" God.
3. My new beliefs put me on a more personal level with God without violating the 10 commandments.
4. The Ten Commandments can be put in a much simpler and less complicated form than the way it is. "An ye harm none, do what ye will". Simply put do what you want so long as you don't harm any others or yourself. All life is sacred!
In Genesis it says that God created us for companionship and to be the caretakers of the Earth, all the creatures of the sea, birds in the air, animals on the land. Most Pagan religions believe in just this. Monotheistic or Polytheistic they are the same.
I am ordained through The Universal Life Church in Moddesto, California. I have 17 yrs of study in christianity, 20 yrs in pagan studies (specializing in the study of Wicca) and have been a practitioner of Wicca for 10yrs. This by no means makes me an expert as there really are none when it comes to religion as the field is too large for any one person to be an expert in.
