GAWD I can't wait until the holidays are over! This is the worst time of year for me and my family.
Thanksgiving will be quiet. Just Me and Mark. My kids are off doing their own thing. I was lucky enough to get Thursday through Sunday off. It doesn't happen very often, I had to ask for it off. This week I will have worked eight straight days of 8 to 10 hour shifts. I'm beat. Physically and emotionally. I haven't had a vacation in years.
I have some growing health issues that I know is going to get the best of me. But without health insurance, I just have to suffer through it.
Christmas couldn't be over soon enough. I lost both my brother and a step-mother at Christmas. Since then, the holidays have been a drag. The family doesn't get together anymore, and all we can think about are the ones that are no longer with us. I miss my bro dearly. Especially at Christmas. No more pigs.(private joke between my bro and I)
