What are you waiting for?

Being as "experienced" as I am in life I feel I must start speaking up. I am the first person in my family to be born in the United States. I love this country and what I see happening to it is appalling. What made this country the greatest in the world was the freedom to be the best you could be. You decided what you wanted to do with your own life and how far you wanted to go. People who had drive and ambition were respected. They created companies which in turn created jobs. The more these people succeeded the more jobs were created. Guess what? the more people who work the more tax revenue goes to the government. If the tax rates are fair (as they were under Ronald Reagan) people had enough to responsibily live the ay they chose. That means they bought homes they could afford. They bought cars or trucks they could afford. They lived good lives within their means. Depending on the government was a LAST resort and then only for a short time until you were back on your feet again. Today it seems everyone seems they are entitled to everything. Our newly elected government is encouraging this and even promoting this. The United States was founded on freedom and LIMITED government. Everytime government grows it takes a little more of our freedom. The bigger it gets, the smaller our freedom becomes. It scares me that the head of the American communist party believes his movement has a friend in our new President. I fear for my the next generation who are not being taught what is needed to understand the "real" world. Saying something and meaning something are different things. Actions speak louder than words. After all what good is it when you say you are helping people who need help, but are passing bills that are signed into law that do the exact opposite? Let's make up an example: Marjoie is a corporate executive who makes 2.5 million a year. Obviously she is in the higest tax bracket so she pays a lot in taxes but she still has money to live the lifestyle she chooses. She can purchase an expensive home and furnish it the way she wants. She will probably buy an expensive vehicle, designer clothes and other things. Look at all the different businesses she is supporting and in turn those businesses need employees. What if there is an artificial ceiling of 500 thousand dollars is put on her earnings? Obviously she will be much more careful with her monetary purchases. Not as many purchases mean less people needed to be employed for businesses to produce what is needed. In a free market economy, the people decide who succeeds and what is available to be purchased. In a socialist economy, the government decides and that also includes things such as health care also. Do your own research and make the decisions right for you and your family. Dont just listen to the talking heads from inside the beltway. Care about your kids and the future of this country. Take care and bsafe.
