You can ask anyone if they've been happy. They'll probably break eye contact, pause, possibly even smile to themselves remembering. Possibly not. But you can only ask when someone's happy. Even if they're jumping around while a huge smile on their face exclaiming their sheer joy to you - but when it comes down to it, you can only say 'They seemed really happy!' But you can tell when someone's sad, right? You can recognise it easier, they're withdrawn, quiet, pensive, moping around the house all day even. You know that they're sad about something. You just know it. It's easier to pick up on, isn't it? Because we all recognise it so well, we've all been there, more than we've been happy we've been sad - So we notice it in our fellow man. But you'll be thinking, hey, we've all been happy too. Maybe not AS much as we've been sad but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if someone's in a 'good mood' does it? Let me ask you this first, how many people do you know that would want to pretend to be sad? Sure you get your attention seekers, but apart from them, who do you know? Think on that a second and then answer me this. How many people do you know that pretend to be happy? You can't tell if someone is.. You can only ask.
