The FBI wants Apple to develop a work around to unlock protections built into the I-phone. Apple contends that to do so would impact the protection of information which is an important part of their marketing of the I-phone. The FBI wants to track the San Bernardino terrorists communications.

I have no love for terrorists, no matter their nationality, religious orientation or race. I say we need to give law enforcement all the tools that can help track terrorism.

OTOH, giving this ability to law enforcement opens a pandoras box of potential for illegal and unauthorized access to private information and further erodes a citizens rights and expectations of privacy.

So, how should I view this situation?
