A Princesses Tale!
A beautiful princess sat up in her bed, and peered out her window to what lies ahead.
She does this today as every day before,
But today there's a sadness like never before.
To the table she went were her vase of life sat,
To be sure it was still there were it was kept.
As beautiful as ever, the roses were all a bloom,
What could be wrong? Why all the sadness and gloom?
She counted her roses, 9.10..11.
For there is one missing, oh where could it be?
Now I Know why this sadness fills me.
So she sat out on a search to find her missing rose,
For this was the piece that made her life whole.
Giving up hope she headed for home,
When off in the distance she saw a light glow.
Forward she went towards the light, when suddenly there stood a fair knight.
For in his hand he held a white rose,
Where did you get that I know where it goes.
It belongs in my vase of life that makes my life whole,
My life is filled with sadness without this rose.
And then suddenly she paused as she spoke.
For the sadness that was there, had gone away,
A wind blew and carried the rose away.
Than she filled with more happiness than any other day.
For it wasn't the rose she needed to make her life whole.
It was the love she lost to a war many years before.
For it is I my love, I have returned to you,
I was lost as I searched and searched, till the light of this rose brought me to you now,
He leaps from his horse and gave her a bow.
I have returned home to be with you now.
Her heart filled with hope and love and laughter,
For she knew she had found her ever after.
Off to their home in the distance they went,
And to the table where her vase full of life sat.
Again she counted her roses.9..10...11 and 12,
For it was full she cried out, for never again wll my life be without.
For her vase full of life was complete.
As she sprang from her bed the next morning to her feet, her vase was full unlike the day before,
For it will be full forever more.
