As I was reading through my bulletins this afternoon, I ran across one that seemed to provide a bit of a
LC-CT History Lesson.
With every good thing, there seems to be a little more to it that meets the eye. Anyone who has ever created their own business knows that there is little flexibility that can be done to create a business (especially one of this scope) without a sound financial backing. Until a business is well off of the ground and able to survive on its own, it will have to rely upon some form of financial backing.
Perhaps, this site began as an experiment. Who cares? Aren't most businesses started out that way??? Michael Dell started his computer sales business out of the trunk of his car in Austin while attending some courses at the University of Texas. With initial financial backing from his relatives when he created PC's Limited, which is now known as the conglomerate of DELL.
My own father got tired of having answering services in San Antonio that didn't really work to meet the needs of the physicians, so he experimented and created his own company. It grew fast and steady with the financial backing from a bank in San Antonio and he eventually sold the company years later.
In both instances, I have been in on the groundwork of getting both businesses, as well as many others, set up. It isn't easy getting a business off of the ground, especially one that is of this caliber. They have had to start somewhere.
It is quite possible that Mike did have something to do with programming the initial program and offers his assistance now as a consultant to keep the site running. Who knows? and, it is all conjecture at this point in time.
What this person did in his/her investigative work of a
LC-CT History Lesson is provide us a behind the scenes look at how this place is functioning through financial banking and support. Since we don't pay; it only makes sense that there is some sort of backing going on here.
What is important is where we have come to today with this site. Even in the short time that I have been on this site, there have been many, many changes...
and,
I suspect,
many, many more changes to come!!
