Friendship takes time
Friendship is like a flower
It starts from a seed
It must be nurtured and watered
To see where it leads.
Acquaintances come along
But hardly ever stay
To find someone who’s truly a friend
Doesn’t happen everyday.
Someone who will stand by you
Through all the good and bad
And never say they don’t have time
When life has made you sad.
To find someone whom you can trust
And depend on night and day
A real friend you can count on
Who will never go away.
In you my friend all this I found
And over time it has grown
And you have become the most precious
Friend I have ever known.
