How does one began to say I am sorry?

Began to fix what has been messed up for so long?

Looking back I see how great of friends we were and could still be,

but

I didnt know how to hold on and keep you there

I walked away or watched you walk away I am not sure which.

Friendships are meant to last forever

yet somehow we let ours slip away

To say sorry is easy but it doesnt say enough

Still I am sorry for everything

and you will know maybe if you ever see this
