A Flame born of Darkness
A candle burns
Within the fragile mystery of life
Its flame flickering
In a vortex of emotion and thought
Its warm glow a beacon
Calling forth those lost to the darkness
Come to me
I am but a lone candle
My flame but a finite spark of hope
But I burn for you
Stagger through the despair
And the futile cloying doubt
Crawl if you have to
And stand by my side
Two candles we shall be
Two flames shivering in the gloom
But a little brighter we grow
And darkness slips further into itself
For we are sentinels
Standing vigil in a mantle of warmth
Waiting
For those lost within their self made armour of shadow and self pity
Come to us
And rekindle your Spirit
Shed your withered shell
For we are of the Light
And darkness is of our own design
Our own making
All it takes is one step forward
One glimmer of hope
And the Soul shall shine for all
I am but a solitary candle
