  Rain washes across her body as she lies helpless and hopeless at the edge of her pain. She longs to be strong enough to stand up to the storm that rages inside her. Her heart beats the sound of regrets. If only and what if. Her sobs covered by the pounding of the rain and the thunder. Her sorrow lit only by the flashes of lightning. She cries. Her tears washed away as fast as they come and yet there is no end to them. Her soul is weeping, for the almost chances it had to feel. Her heart is weeping, for the knife buried inside moves with every beat.  She almost made that worst mistake again. Almost trusted. Almost believed in something. She cries. The storm seems to feed off her emotions, crashing around her as if trying to overcome the deepness of her pain. Her confusion slowly turns to acceptance of her inadequacy. She knows she will never know trust again. Nor will she ever try. It's not worth the hurt. Not worth the fall. She will not believe in love for love is nothing but a fairy tale. As the storm fades so does her tears. She will be a different person. Hard and cold. Knowing if she lets her guard down for even one second it come all come crashing in on her and she can't allow that to happen again. She rises to meet to sun head bowed and heart locked by a lock whose key has been washed away in those thousand tears. She hopes not for someone to find it, she knows hope is gone
