A Few Minutes With You.
Wherever you are, whatever you do,
I always like talking to you;
I'm different on different days,
And so are you; so you surely see,
There are so many ways
That I like talking to you.
Just a few words, now and then,
But they make my whole world spin,
I'm glad just to know that you're around,
So I wake up every day again.
Whenever you're gone, I feel sad,
But I keep the faith so it's not too bad.
I love the time you spend with me,
You're always perfect company,
It's nice when you can stay a while,
But it's good when you just leave me a smile.
However you feel, whatever you do,
I like to get a few minutes with you.
Sometimes you're up, sometimes I'm down,
Sometimes it's the other way around,
It's so sweet when we're both happy,
But I know that it can't always be.
When I can help, and sometimes when I can't,
I still want a few minutes with you.
If they tore the whole world apart,
And made it all over from the start,
They could rip out the seams and take in the waist,
I'd still hang around the same old place,
If they asked my advice on what to do,
I'd want just a few more minutes with you.
