A Dragon and the Wind
by LateNiteFantasy©
How do I feel?
With my talons!
...about you?
I know, you meant my heart,
where a dragon rests, thumping
its tail against the cavity of my chest
constantly, then revives and comes to life
thrusting itself in body-slams
against stalagmites and stalactites
in the dark depths of my soul
when I see you.
I become flush.
Its flaming breaths accumulate
an inferno inside me grows
droplets of my lust boil from my flesh
as the dragon flaps its wings
thunderously, radiating heat
as it swims through the course of my veins
when you come closer.
You are before me
clear as a thought in a pitch-black cavern
my mind swirls like a body of water
when a plug is pulled from the drain.
Caught in the current of a raging beast's bellow
its talons rake and scratch at my inner skull.
In its frenzy the dragon twists and turns
its scales scrape and collide with bone
mingling with its rumbling growl that echoes
in my ear drums when you speak.
You touch me
I feel...
like a Dragon
and your the wind!
