Deep Into the Abyss.

Deep into the abyss of my heart I am lost

All that I thought I knew is a total blur

My heart beats to an unknown rhythm

Not to same tune when I had her

Deep into the abyss of my mind I find fear

Scared to move passed what I don’t understand

I am only what I let a failed love create

The good guy seems to no longer be in demand

Deep into the abyss of my soul there is no solitude

Shattered and broken on the shore of despair

I refuse to believe love ever truly existed

I give up finally throwing my hands up in the air

Deep into the abyss of this cold dark world I hide

No longer wanting to face a life sad and alone

Each night before I sleep I try and pray for guidance

I search deep within to grasp the strength but it’s gone
