February 2006, oh about a week before Valentines' Day my husband of 15 yrs asked for a divorce. Please, no sympathy. Biggest favor he ever did tho' I didn't realize it at the time. And although he's now regretting it, I'm enjoying my freedom. I only bring that up to say, "Been there, done that, don't feel like getting married again." Not looking for attachments or any ring. I found out just how independent I really am, just how freaky I really am and that other people really appreciate it. I have 2 kids, ages 9 and 24 who both live with me so my time on here is very limited but very fun. I'm not a geek who only lives online, I also go out and have a good time when I'm not spending time with my kids (they come first always) so i only spend time on here when I can. But it's fun. I'm really new to this, so I don't go nuts sending comments and such but hopefully that will change soon. I really love alternative rock music - I've thrown away the classic rock and such. I like spontaneous behavior and hate routine. I'm not into cyber or phone sex but I like to flirt. In my off-computer life, I play poker, garden, hang out with friends, play music, date etc. I'm a cancer survivor so I've learned to love each minute of each day because you never know when it's all going to be taken away from you. I put off having my medical exams until one day I had a check up and it showed up. Scared the hell out of me but it taught me some valuable lessons. Never take life or people for granted. Do it all, taste it all, enjoy it all. I love my kids, my family and my life. Life's peachy!
One thing I've learned this year is that I don't need someone to define me. I don't care who does or doesn't like me, love me or want me. I am me. You can love me or hate me, but I won't change for anyone just to be accepted. That's one thing I tell my kids and my nieces constantly. Don't let the threat of being "alone" make you conform into misery.

... oh and i've gotten peppered in my shoutbox with comments like "you never speak" "how come you don't talk", etc. Don't take it personal, if I'm working on reading someone's profile and adding to someone's comments, etc. I'm not paying attention to that little box up there. Please don't take it personal!!! A couple of you have gotten nasty about it and I haven't responded to you because you sounded all kinds of stalker-like. So please... be kind.
