An extensive traveler seeking to understand people, their cultures and beliefs. I lived in Guadalajara, Mexico as a young teen. Have visited 5 of 7 continents multiple times.

Respect for all sports, but favor participating: mostly tennis, played regional tournaments when young, skiing, golf and frequent exercise. Rarely a TV viewer of them but love to attend live sporting events.

Love ALL the arts, especially the performing, but devote great energy and PASSION toward discovering little known musical artists: mostly jazz, great vocalists and classic rock but love: r & b/alternative/blues/crooners/pop/new-age/soul/c & w/opera/classical. NO rap/hip-hop/death metal! Also a big fan of off-stream movies - all genres but opinionated. Love film noir. Have traveled the country going to concerts and have performed in two light operas.

I strive to ALWAYS to be gentle, kind, tender, thoughtful and gracious. Chivalry, civility and common courtesies are paramount NOT only for gentlemen but for all. Not a fan of tattoos, piercings, branding, etc. but open minded toward those that are, as long as they are discrete.

I'm far more comfortable in the out-of-doors than inside, and spend considerable time in a relatively remote area of central Colorado. Always comfortable in either a suit, tux, jeans, loafers, boots, sneakers or swim trunks.

Spirituality is an integral part of my DAILY life, and a Christian, and I am not EXTREMELY religious, though attend church and their groups regularly. I embrace the humanness of people with all their shortcomings and imperfections because I have many as well. Firmly believe that life may not be tied in a bow, but it is a GIFT. Am told I have a joyful heart, am a gentlemen in the true sense of the word, and am humorous. I strive to maintain a well balanced life: spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, familial, and relational. I have fallen in life, picked myself up and grown on with it. I'm happy......in spite of myself! Life IS a song, then I better sing it.

I have never been married, hence no children, but have been in long term relationships: 4, 5 and 7+ years. I have been loyal and monogamous in all my loving relationships for over 35 years. I have learned that love is RARELY at first sight and requires cultivation, willing compromise, two way energy and a loving equal balance of "power" between the man and women.

Seeking a friend, a LADY, that we can cultivate into a meaningful relationship, with the possibility of sharing our lives together. One that is attractive, physically fit: HEIGHT and WEIGHT proportional is a must, spiritually growing or at least receptive to the concept, open minded, goal oriented, well versed in communication and that places a premium on the value of honesty, honor and integrity. One who graciously receives hopeful-romantic gestures: compliments, cards, flowers, messages, gifts and texts and is comfortable reciprocating in some very small measure. One that is spontaneous, whimsical, not controlling and flows well in all circumstances. One that is positive, secure with her appearance and beliefs, wrestles little with jealousy, and has a healthy self esteem and image. One who appreciates the value of snuggling, the sharing of gentle, encouraging and sincere intimacies, and enjoys a sense of physical closeness. I do not hedge in my relationships. When I am in, I am all in!

I do not drink but am comfortable with those that do responsibly in social settings.
