I'm kind of an old fashioned country boy with love for nature, animals (wild, tame & pets).Needless to say I don't hunt but may fish a little. I have always been a people person and really like old people, kids and babies, I guess because I am a grandpa of five. Their ages ranging from 12 to 20, three boys and two girls. I am retired from the US Army NG and have been to Iraq. I started out in the AF and after ten years got out to go to college. Sixteen years later I went into the Army NG and finished my twenty. Unofficially I was my Company's Chaplain. I am on the conservative side in my world view. I am a Christian but not as devout as I ought to be. I have been known to have long and vivid discussions about the Bible, life and death and our purpose for being here. I love conversation, discussion, reading, writing, politics, History, Science, and anything to do with space and space travel.

Interests
Some of my general interests include gardening, hiking and camping, touring historical burial sites and battlefields, family reunions, listening to various kinds of music (some I sing to -others- they almost pay me not to). I love humor, especially with comedians like Jerry Clower and even Steve Harvey. Since retirement I really enjoy sitting on my screened front porch, a cup of coffee in hand and watching the squirrels play and listening to the birds singing.
