Well my story begins here... My parents are Luke and Laura Spencer, they welcomed me only daughter, Lesley Lu, into the world on August 8th in 1988. I was named after my grandmother, I was soon dubbed "Lulu" by my doting family. While my older brother Lucky grew up in various locales around the world, my mother planned to give me a stable childhood in Port Charles. As a baby, I was diagnosed with aplastic anemia and required a life saving bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, every member of the Spencer family was deemed incompatible as marrow donors. When all hope seemed lost, my mother was forced to reveal a painful secret. That, she had given birth to a son named Nikolas, who was fathered by her captor Stavros Cassadine. Nikolas had grown up in Greece never knowing our mother, but was still willing to come to Port Charles to try and help me, his baby sister. Much to my mother's relief, Nikolas was a match and was able to donate his bone marrow. The transplant was a success and I sustained no lasting complications. Although my illness put a strain on my parents' marriage, a number of other events ultimately led to their divorce. After the marriage ended, my father was rarely around for me except for a few ice fishing trips now and again. My life became much lonelier after my mother suffered a nervous breakdown and had to be committed. With my mother incapacitated, my father had no desire to be a single parent to me. My grandmother Lesley had no choice but to step in and raise me. Feeling abandoned by both of my parents, I turned into a rebellious teenager who completely resented my father. My grandmother was fed up with my behavior and I was left to move in with the Quartermaine's. My father was less than pleased with the notion of being my father, and I didn't want to have anything to do with him. Despite the stubbornness of both my father and me, we ended up mending our ways. My father realized how much my mother's absence affected me, and was there for me when I wanted to visit my mother in Shady Brook. I was visibly upset by my mother's condition, and my father assured me that I would not end up the same way. I immediately had an antagonistic relationship with my stepmother, Tracy Quartermaine. When my father came up with a plan to make Tracy think he was trying to kill her so that she would divorce him, I agreed to help. The plan backfired when Tracy was presumed dead, and my father believed he'd be charged with murder. I once again felt abandoned when my father left town to avoid arrest, especially when Tracy showed up alive and well. My father returned to Port Charles only to find that Nikolas wanted me to move in with him. My father realized he didn't want to lose me again, and I agreed to stay at the Quartermaines. Unfortunately, my father's adventure brought the Encephalitis virus to Port Charles and I fell ill. My father recovered from the ailment and the doctors realized it was his blood that could provide an antidote. My father was furious to learn that the antidote would be distributed to those who needed it most, which meant I was not a top priority. Little did my father know that Lorenzo Alcazar had switched my charts with Skye Chandler's so that she would get the antidote first. My illness progressed and my chances of survival looked slim. On my deathbed, I forgave my father for his past mistakes. Luckily, more of the antidote was acquired and I recovered. When my father found out that Alcazar had switched my charts my father was poised to kill Alcarzar. I admitted that I was thankful for what Alcazar had done, because it gave me a chance to make amends with my father. Now that I was living with the Quartermaine's, I was spending more time with Dillon. We quickly formed a friendship and bonded over our parent's dysfunctional marriage. I was stunned to learn that Georgie, Dillon's wife, had a secret correspondence with Diego Alcazar while he was in jail. Dillon was unsupportive of Georgie's friendship with the young criminal, but Georgie believed that Diego needed a friend. I confronted Georgie about the secret, and Georgie ended up coming clean with Dillon. Recently, Robert Scorpio returned to Port Charles to take my father back to the Maarkam Islands where he contracted the Encephalitis virus.
