When I was a little kid I was terrified of the Fruit of The Loom guys. I thought they lived in my attic waiting patiently for me to drift off into a peaceful slumber of childhood innocence while they were planning my demise. The fear of being awakened from a dream in which I was an heroic member of the Herculoids, fighting evil along side the venerable Gloop, to the harrowing sight of the Grapes guy (he scared the shit out of me) and the rest descending upon me and trapping me beneath my Star Wars sheets, blinding white briefs in hand, all the while chanting with vicious glee "Supa Band Waistband only a Dollah!!", before smothering me with stretchy swaths of pure, freshly woven cotton undies. Fortunately, it was a short phase although to this day...I still prefer Hanes...
