I'm an active 60 year old man - 5ft-10in tall - weigh 175 lbs - red hair (Few grey ones around the edge &
earned every one of them) Was raised on a farm by my Grandparents. Entered Army as a 17 yr old boy. Was sent to
Vietnam when I turned 18 as a Helicopter Crewchief & Door Gunner. On my 7th day in Vietnam the 1968 Tet Offensive started and on the 9th day I was looking at 1500 Dead Military & Civilians with around 4500 wounded at a place
called Phan Thiet. Entirely too much excitement. Decided
real quick that I didn't like it, Guy could get killed
doing this. Rotated back to states when my time was up & got one of the biggest wake up calls one could imagine. I
was spit at, spit on, called a baby killer, cursed &
generally treated like a criminal. Just because I was a
Vietnam Veteran. Still to this day I realy don’t understand why people have too be so rude and obnoxious toward each other. It's just not right. If you didn't do what you were ordered to do, the military would simply ruin your life,it's that simple. After a few months of working at General Electric I quit because I was hired by the Southern
Railroad as a Brakeman. It is the Norfolk Southern Railroad
now and over the years I became a Conductor/Engineer & retired some 32+ years later at the age of 51 & have enjoyed every moment of my retirement. So served a tour in Vietnam & the return home, maried 2 crazy women, worked 32+ years for railroad, raised a teenaged daughter as a single parent, so if I don't get too excited over the small stuff, don't hold that aginst me.
My divorce was final Feb. 14, 1992 (What a Valentines Day) Been single ever since. Not here looking for my sole mate. I'm here too make, friends that are down to earth, (NO CRAZIES PLEASE) meet enough of those without looking for them. Don't like Arrogant, Obnoxious people
& cant stand a Smart Ass or Drama Queen.
