My name is John, but all my friends call me Oz, and I prefer it that way. I have always thought John was a bit too plain, and Oz is the name of the main character of the book (series) I am writing. Oz (Ozerius) is based on me, or more accurately who I wish I was,

I'm a serious gamer (mostly RPGs, but Infamous & Prototype hold a special place in my heart), but I also love to read (sci-fi/fantasy & para-romance mostly) , go on nature walks, and do some crafts (latch hook rugs mostly). I listen to almost all kinds of music, though my favorite band will probably always be Disturbed. My favorite TV show is The Flash (whole Arrowverse actually), and favorite anime is Bleach. My favorite movie is Big Hero 6, but it changes sometimes. (It's usually just the most recent thing I've watched). I am also currently writing a book (series of 3) of my own. Also recently I have been learning how to cook a lot of things, and I have found that I actually enjoy it,

I am currently living in Tennessee with my girlfriend, Rachel. We hope to be moving back to everything, and everyone I care about in Ohio soon. I badly miss my family, my friends (several of whom I consider my Family), and my son, Renji.

You may notice in the way that I write sometimes I will say family, and sometimes Family. There is a difference. Through my life I have learned that true Family is not always the people you are born to (family), Family is the people who love you, help you, and treat you the way you deserve to be treated. My true Family has always been there for me when I needed them, and I try to be there for them to the best of my ability. I love them all just as much as I would any blood brothers, sisters, or whatever I could have.

I am a big animal lover, and I HATE to hear of animal abuse of any kind. I have a cat (gray tabby) named Tiger, who doesn't seem to much like anybody, but LOVES me. Tiger has four kittens, but we are only keeping one (black with gray stripes) named Ink. One of Tiger's daughters also had kittens, but we are only keeping 1, Calligraphy (same as Ink). Rachel has her service dog, (golden retriever) Gideon here also. He seems to only have 3 moods: working, sleeping, and goofball. She also has her service dog in training, Pixie (German shepherd). I am also a HUGE fan of wolves, and I am very passionate about their need to be protected from the ignorant people who consider them all nothing but vicious, violent, killing machines. My extremism about my beliefs on this have led people to claim that I have the soul of a wolf.... I won't disagree because in some ways I see the things I like to do to be very wolflike. I LOVE meat (especially rare), I get a feeling of "home" when I am in a forest or nature area, I keep a very close circle of friends who I consider my Family (pack), and I am usually a very calm person.... unless you REALLY piss me off (very few people have seen this side of me, and the ones who have would rather never see it again).

I am a pagan and the beliefs I hold vary greatly from what many other pagans I have met believe. My beliefs are an amalgamation of Native American, Celtic, Druidic, Egyptian, Greek, Norse, and some Christian beliefs, with a good helping of mythology and folklore mixed in. I accept people of all faiths, as long as they don't try to convert me. I have no problem discussing religion with people because sometimes these discussions have led to me changing a part of my beliefs.I know some people would say that's the wrong way to do things, but how can you know what you truly believe if you aren't willing to question your beliefs and allow them to evolve if something you find to make more sense comes along?
