Ebert Entertainment History For most children it is all about the toys and candy, but for DJ Rich Ebert, it was about the music. Rich started showing his musicality at an early age. His mother swears that he was keeping time in the womb. From there it was his destiny. His drumming abilities flourished and an accomplished musician he became. He involved himself in youth choirs, school bands, rock bands, jazz bands, community bands, piano lessons and a myriad of other musical settings. Music became his passion and to this day still is. It has been said that he has an ear for good music and can pick up hit songs better than most A&R reps. DJ Rich started entertaining crowds by spinning tunes in eighth grade, playing for parties and school dances. He did so well that by age 18 he was doing proms, weddings and corporate events. His first crack at the professional DJ business was known as Ebert Entertainment Enterprises and was a successful venture until his equipment was stolen from a local teen center. He worked to get it all back, but to no avail. After a three year hiatus, he ended up working for another DJ company out of Springfield, Oh. He then was honored with a permanent spot as house DJ at the now defunct Ruby Tuesdays. While working with this company, he did weddings, corporate events, private parties, school dances and night clubs. A change in his job situation moved him from Springfield to Bellefontaine where he fell in with another DJ outfit where he was one of three DJs. Finally after many years of working with other DJs, Rich finally bit the bullet and purchased some second hand equipment. He resurrected Ebert Entertainment (dropping the Enterprises) and started to promote himself. As booking became more frequent, he purchased more and better equipment and now has top of the line stuff including pieces from Behringer, Numark, American Audio, American DJ, PCDJ, Shure and Chauvet. He also has been on the frontier of the digital music revolution storing, most of his music as MP3s on his top of the line Dell laptop to keep the tunes spinning all night long This brings us to present day where Ebert Entertainment is one of the top Deejay Companies in the area and he is booked most weekends and spins music from all eras for a variety of different event types. All of this musical training has given DJ Rich the unique ability to DJ above and beyond most other Deejays by playing to the crowd and their likes. He is amazing at what he does.
