I like to laugh but I haven't yet translated my sense of humour into my writing style. Verbally I'm much crazier than I am on email... Friends say all sorts of things and most of importantly we laugh... lol. Each time I see an old friend I realise that I must be doing something right.

I am more in tune with myself and my emotions these days and I always work hard; but, now, after travelling so much, I know what I need to do to maintain my equilibrium.

I'm very independent and someone who likes to speak their mind and will always encourage you to be yourself, should you need that encouragement.

I love to dance and couldn't imagine living a life without doing that from, at least, time to time...

Man, Grandson, Grandnephew, Son, Nephew, Brother, Cousin, Friend, Ally. I think of these terms and I think of those who see me as such and think: It's just like Cinque said (in Amistad) when we go somewhere we always have all these people behind/with us. I've been lucky, making friends wherever I've been. I hope the same holds true for all of us.

Born in London (at the former South London Hospital) I spent ten years working as a computer programmer in London, Zurich, Frankfurt, North London, Buffalo NY, and Hong Kong before taking a year to travel through Mexico, Central America, India, Egypt, and Ethiopia.

I did some voluntary work at an HIV centre whilst in India.

I went to Ethiopia for a variety of reasons one of which was that I sponsor a child there through Action Aid. When I met her she started to cry because she thought that I had come to take her away from her family; but her father said that she had greeted him at the entrance to their tukul, when he had returned from the war, and that, therefore, he would never let her go.

I returned to London and did voluntary work building web sites for various charities with the aim of securing similar paid work later but my father died and I took the opportunity to travel to Cuba, Sri Lanka, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand and living in Madrid before settling back into life here.

Of the last sixteen years the longest time I have been in the UK is two years.

A year ago I visited Ghana with my now ex-girlfriend - wherever we went people would only welcome us and the food was incredible! - and have just returned to IT and once settled in that career plan to focus on helping children in a voluntary capacity.

I cannot walk by while someone is being bullied. I have to step up. This doesn't mean I'm a fighter. I was in the occasional fight as a youth; but, now, just stepping up and keeping the peace is enough. After all, when I step up there are already two of us - the victim and myself!
