Let me start off by saying I'm divorced...I suppose that's what happens when you marry a woman, and then she has a child that isn't yours. I still wanted to work things out; she, however, did not.
I’ve played violin since I was 3, I took 3 years of culinary school, 2 years of jazz dance and have been in the army for 6 years. I love the outdoors, and love scenic photography and painting. Love fishing and anything else that will get me out of the house. Don't tell anyone, but I also cry during sad movies--I'm a big softie. I don't mind traveling, so if you turn out to be someone that I would like to meet to see if things go farther, I have no problem with that. Honesty is the most important thing in any relationship, so it would be best to start with it.
I'm not on here for a booty call...it's not what I want. I'm tired of being used and sex is not that important to me in a relationship-don't get me wrong, its great, but I don't believe that it should be first and foremost in a relationship. I'm looking more for someone that I can be myself around, which is goofy, but I can promise you that I'm also an old school romantic--blame it on my dad. I was adopted, and he is much older than most parents are at my age. I believe he's 76 now, so when he raised me, he instilled a lot of the morals and values that he was raised by.
I love to send flowers for no reason at all, and am a big fan of surprise candlelit dinners. Honesty is huge to me--if a person can’t be honest, then there can be no relationship. A lot of people think that love is just "being with" someone...it's not...there is a constant attraction, not necessarily physical, but an unexplainable desire to be with that person constantly. Some people view this as needy, but if both people feel the same way, it’s wonderful.
If I had someone that I could be myself around, goofy or not, someone that appreciates all the little whispered "I love you's" in public with people all around, the little shared smiles from across a table when your friends are with you, the smiles and excited phone calls I get when I send flowers spontaneously...someone to share last minute unplanned trips with. Someone to cuddle with and to kiss whenever I want...I have never cheated in a relationship, never will. You always get my utmost attention, and I’m not afraid to show it in public. I love to cook, love to dance, love to play music, or just cuddle on the couch and get teary eyed over some cheesy romance movie.
hmm...dreams and aspirations...Ill probably teach or perform music when I get out of the military. I turned down 5 scholarships for music when I joined the army. I was just so burnt out on playing the violin, I wanted a change.
Girls!!! Read this! ....We don't care if you talk to other guys. We don't care if you're friends with other guys. But when you're sitting next to us, and some random guy walks into the room and you jump up and tackle him, without even introducing us, yeah, it pisses us off. It doesn't help if you sit there and talk to him for ten minutes without even acknowledging the fact that we're still there. We don't care if a guy calls >OR TEXTS< you, but at 2 in the morning we do get a little concerned. Nothing is that important at 2 a.m. that it can't wait till the morning. Also, when we tell you you're pretty/ beautiful/ gorgeous/ cute/ stunning, we freaking mean it. Don't tell us we're wrong. We'll stop trying to convince you. The sexiest thing about a girl is confidence. Yeah, you can quote me. Don't be mad when we hold the door open. Take advantage of the mood I’m in. Let us pay for you! Don’t "feel bad" We enjoy doing it. It's expected. Smile and say "thank you." Kiss us when no one's watching. If you kiss us when you know somebody's looking, we'll be more impressed. You don't have to get dressed up for us. If we're going out with you in the first place, you don't have to feel the need to wear the shortest skirt you have or put on every kind of makeup you own. We like you for who you are and not what you are. Honestly, I think a girl looks more beautiful when she's just in her pj's. Or my t-shirt and boxers, not all dolled up. Don't take everything we say seriously. Sarcasm is a beautiful thing. See the beauty in it. Don't get angry easily. Stop using magazines/media as your bible. Don't talk about how hot Chris Brown, Brad Pitt, or Jesse McCartney is in front of us. It's boring, and we don't care. You have girlfriends for that. Whatever happened to the word "handsome"/"beautiful" I’d be utterly stunned by a girl who greeted me with "Hey handsome!" instead of "Hey baby/ stud/ cutie/ sexy" or whatever else you can think of. on the other hand I’m not saying I wouldn’t like it ether ; ) Girls, I cannot stress this enough: if you aren't being treated right by a guy, don’t wait for him to change. Ditch his sorry butt and find someone who will treat you with utter respect. Someone who will honor your morals. Someone who will make you smile when you're at your lowest. Someone who will care for you even when you make mistakes. Someone who will love you, no matter how bad you make them feel. Someone who will stop what they're doing just to look you in the eyes....and say "I love you" ..and actually mean it. Give the nice guys a chance.
