I really don’t have a whole lot to say about myself but to just explain a short biography about my life so far. I'm currently 27 yrs.old and I'm starting to where my brain was developing till now and how it has been a roller coaster ride within that time. I grew up in Southeast Louisiana in a small town called Ponchatoula. Its pretty much well isolated from a lot of the big cities and well known as a place where football, fishing, deer hunting, farming, and the basic and typical country is described and takes place. "Dukes of hazard county", as I call it. I was raised from helping my Father working on race cars at around 3yrs old to working for my Grand Father plowing fields at around 13yrs old right before I watched him take his last breath in Covington, La. During that time was pretty depressing, because a few months after that experience, my Grand Mother then passed on as well. This was the time that I was getting into music. It all started when there was a talent show coming up at my school, and my best friend Lane bet me that I would make an ass out of myself appearing in front of the whole entire Jr. High that night. Well, I did, and everybody seemed to enjoy my performance impersonating Elvis Presley, all except Lane, who lost the bet from not making a fool out of me. I was getting into high school when I was taking an interest in country music, playing the guitar, and writing my own songs. I've played in many recording studios, contests, and old country bars at the age of 15 yrs. old on up. I also made it up to Nashville for like a week. I became very well known in my home town until I decided to move and finish high school in Richmond, Utah where my Mother was staying. I was then 17 yrs old when I decided not long after, to join the Marine Corps and to put music on a pause until I finally figured what I really wanted to do in life. From the time I spent in Utah to the Marines, I've met so many people including my first engagement to Brandie Smith who I've shared my life with for about 2 yrs. Within that relationship, I experienced so many things that were different in the South like snowmobile racing, getting drunk camping out in a cabin in the mountains during winter. But I have to say my worst experience in my life was when I witnessed my two friends in a four-wheeler accident in Idaho in weather at about 20 degrees below off of a cliff. It was one of my usual visits in Utah from Louisiana to see Brandie when Bray don(my best friend at the time), Shanna, and myself all decided to buy some beer and all go for a joy-ride up the mountain side at night on four-wheelers. Everything was fun up to the point where from instinct, I happen to turn my head, looking behind me, and saw Bray don and Shanna going off the side of a cliff from a 20 foot drop into a creek filled with rocks beneath. I in my own brain decided to jump the same distance they fell to try to get to them as soon as possible. My first reaction was to drag Bray don to his feet and not to mention that the poor boy had a busted leg, busted face, and punctured lung. Shanna on the other hand, was crushed from the fall beneath the ATV under water. About 10 minutes has gone by before I actually found her in that situation. If there's anybody that wants to know what true love is, to my surprise, Bray don loved this girl so much that he was willing to suck up the pain and assist me in trying to tilt this ATV from off of Shanna to where I could grab her from underneath the water. But I'd have to congratulate Bray don for his effort on trying to help save his girl-friend. I then had to help him back up on the bank soon after he collapsed. Brandie, during that time, retrieved help from nearby, and was able to help me to try again by tilting the ATV which was a success. I was able to go under water to reach for Shanna and bring her up above the surface and place her beside Bray don on the bank. Sad but true, Shanna Peterson passed away due to drowning with the same injuries and symptoms as Bray don. That night, I could feel that the Angels were among us because the power of the holy spirit, I could feel passing through my body and into Shanna. Because not long after a little faith and a prayer, I heard the most beautiful sound I've ever heard when she started screaming and most of all, breathing. "SHANNA WAS BREATHING" to my surprise. Several month’s has passed since that night, and Bray don is back on his feet working on cars snowmobile racing. Shanna is back playing soccer, going out with her friends and YES, she is still riding four-wheelers. I was rewarded for bravery by the Sheriffs Dept. from that county and was considered a Guardian Angel to Shanna who is now like my little sister. Me and Brandie soon broke up because I was young and stupid and didn't know what I wanted at the time. I moved back home to Louisiana and decided to further my career back into country music. I now have song's that I've written about a lot of my experiences in life including about my ex....Brandie called "What I know now, should’ve did back then". I've actually won 1st place at a couple of shows at festivals. One of my other songs is pretty cool because it explains how this girl was able to go on her first date to a drive thru movie. Her date then tried to take advantage of her thinking that she was easy in that way. She refused and then was kicked out of his car out into the pouring rain. Therefore she had no choice but to walk through this bad weather back home. Two years past since that night when she decided to go out with her friends is when she noticed this gentleman standing across this dance floor staring right back at her. (In some people may find that soul- mates exist), well for these two that made eye to eye contact obviously did. To cut to the chorus of the song, she feels that this could be the person who turned off the rain from previous and bad relationship with the first guy that pretty much destroyed her will to ever date again. The name of the song is,” Who turned off the rain". I've basically gave just a hint of what my life was all about until now. Nothing much, but just enough to explain on how I grew up, the hobbies I've taken interest into, and the adventures/ experiences I've been around. I'm a well known person to a lot of people and enjoy meeting new friends. Some people I guess would describe me as easy going and fun to be around with. I hope this inspires some of you who might be interested in hearing or reading more about me in the future. Until then, I close this to what I call,” My open journal”, in dedication to myself and who this may relate to. BRAD MICHAEL SCOTT THE END .. .. .. .. .. ....
