Knock, Knock... Who's there? A refreshing twist of melodic, heart felt lyrics doused with a side of catchy hooks. Add it all up and you get an Indie, Rock, Pop, band called Everybody Else Wins. EBEW was born in 2002 as a result of collaboration between Shannon Clark and Brittany Young. They began writing songs and playing shows in their small hometown of Greenville, OH. "I knew when I started the band that there would have to be a girl in it, because if you want it done right, you should let a woman do it," remarks Shannon. With the help and support of friends and family, the two recorded their first full length CD entitled, "They Will Believe in Us." Shannon and Brittany continued playing together over the course of the next year. Then, they took a break from the band to get married in June of 2004. After regrouping in early 2005, they added bass player Justin Maitlen to the roster. Justins experience and dedication took EBEW to the next level. In just a short time, the three members became close friends. They started working on some brand new songs as well as reinventing some older ones. In the summer of 2005, EBEW added another great member to the all-star line-up. His name is Isaiah Young. With his insane leads and killer effects, he was definitely the final piece to complete the band! Together the four piece band began playing shows and building up a great fan base. In the fall of 2005, EBEW took a break from live performance to spend some time in the studio. The result was a brand new album entitled, "Keep it a Secret". In anticipation of the January 2006 release date, the band has received much response. "Most of the music I write is all about personal experience. I write about real life, real love, and real heartache. Most of what I write draws inspiration from the love of my life, Brittany. I feel it really shows," states Shannon. "It seems people have really grown close to us with this CD. They seem to really connect with us, which is, of course, our ultimate goal," Justin points out. Since EBEW has something to offer almost all music lovers, it would seem that in this case, everybody wins.
