I am a pipeliner who lives in Ontario Canada. I work all over Canada, mostly in the north west. I spend a lot of time in pipeline camps working and its hard to keep in touch some times. Thats just the nature of the job though. Its a tough way of life working long hours in the arctic weather. In winter the mercury can plunge to -40c to -60c. Factor in the windchill and it becomes life threatening. Often dropping to -100c. The reward is a fat paycheque and lots of food to eat. I guess thats what keeps us coming back. Add in the beauty of the north and the places you get to visit and its not a bad way of life.
