Well my dear King, let me be the first to tell you, that after all these years sitting as a memorial to you Shaddow has decided to reopen the lounge. It will take time, but I have great hopes to it being not just what it was but more, all in you honor, I'm sure. I should have stopped by more to tell you how much I miss you. Douglas Ray Barnes IIIMr. Douglas Barnes III, age 31 of 3570 East Highway 27 in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, May 5, 2010.His funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Lanier officiating. Burial will follow in the Beth Haven Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Monday, May 10, Warlick Funeral Home. Mr. Barnes was born September 27, 1978 in St. Louis, Mo. to Douglas Ray Barnes Jr. and Elizabeth Stonko. He worked as a mechanic.He is survived by a son, Hunter Barnes of Asheboro; his parents, Douglas Ray Barnes Jr. and wife Teresa of Lincolnton, and mother, Elizabeth Stonko of Denver; grandmother, Elsie Green; four brothers, Patrick Scalise and Rock Helms, both of Denver, Tony Helms of Jacksonville, Fla. and Daniel Carter of Gastonia; and three sisters, Amanda Bailey and Heather Carter, both of Gastonia, and Emma Thomas of Lincolnton.Memorials may be made to Warlick Funeral Home, c/o Douglas Barnes, III Funeral Fund, PO Box 1407, Lincolnton, NC 28093.Warlick Funeral Home is serving the Barnes family.
