Yeah it isn't. We don't have any culture or good architecture here either. It disgusts me. And there's this stupid patriotism and sense of pride - for what? I wish people here would just realize we suck.
Hmm yeah there is a lot of apathy [hope thats the right word] for Bush here. I dunno if you guys would want aboriginals, because when Australia was first founded a lot of them were slaughtered and then put into missions and as a result they have no identity and have problems with health and drinking because the government doesn't care about them.
Well in many ways it's turning into a carbon copy of America. In the urban areas really, not the outback. Ummm race relations with aboriginals are shite, our prime minister is a twat but there's an election coming up and he'll probably lose, and people are very carefree and into drinking here. But they're also really homophobic and sleazy too. I don't like it here but I''m grateful for what I do have. And America?
Oh we have Target here too. I work at a grocery store called Foodworks [there's a chain here]. It's alright though because I live on an island so you get to know a lot of the customers. ^^
