For my purposes, I have modified it a bit, and my motto is-************* "When a man lies he murders some part of himself." *************** I think this is a trueism! and I have always and will always live by it. Where to begin? Let's start off positive shall we? I live my life by the code of the chivalric knight of long ago. Sounds corny no? But really I do. I am happiest when I am making others happy. I have been involved in the Oklahoma Scottish Games & Gathering for 10 years serving last as the Vice Chairman. This experience greatley enriched my life. It is exileratint to look out and see 12,000 people enjoying themselves because of your hard work and dedication! I made countless friends, met my X wife, and had a great time. The feeling when you look around you and see 12,000 happy people surrounding you, and they are there because of the work you have done. This feeling is unlike any other, it wells up inside you and gives you such pride and feeling of accomplishment. I also am the founder of Mini-Con, Tulsa's Japanese animation convention. Mini-Con is a dream I made come true, a dream I shared with my X-wife. The last Mini-Con was ..4 and about 1100 people attended. Mini-Con is different than the Scottish adventures, but not less fullfilling, even more because it was conceptualized, and brought to life by me! I have two wonderful kids I love very much. They have been my life preserver. Darkness.......... I thought I had found the love of my life. We shared every interest, sense of humor, political, environmental, social etc. We met at the Scottish Games. We had a fairy tale romance. We fell in love, married and I began living my dream. We never fought or argued. I only have wonderful memories of our love until she ended it. I never knew someone could snap and turn into a completely different person the was she did, it was scary. She actually lost herself in a dark obsession and fell in love with a ""Vampire"" form Los Angeles she met on VF. She was a 7th grade teacher and she lost her teaching position over some of the crap which involved inappropriate sexual behavior with some of her students. Lies.... What makes a person lie? Needless lies. I asked her for the truth, and she simply could not tell me, when I already knew the truth. What makes a person lie to hurt someopne who only gave themselves completely to the other? I cannot undertand as much as I try to wrap my head around her behavior, it would make me quite mad. I have forgiven her for her actions, and I wanted desperately to remain close to her so I could help her in whatever way I could. She made that impossible as well, that still makes me sad. Who knows what the future holds? My outlook on life has dramatically changed because of this experience. How can I ever trust someone with my very being again. I sure hope I can. I am a strong person. I never realized just how strong I am. This experience has made me realize my inner strength and integrity. While I miss my old life, I am on a new adventure now building a new one. I have many friends and I would like to make new ones. I enjoy meeting new people.
