Most of you keep asking what my status message is about. Here we go. I randomly found the trailer for the movie Warm Bodies on youtube and I started getting thrilled about it, I can't wait to watch it in january.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3ErWNBX9Rc

Then I read that it was based on a novel  by Isaac Marion and I looked for it and finished it in a few hours. I really loved it and lately I don't seem to find books that are both entertaining and introspective so I am really impressed. From what I saw in the trailer I was expecting some kind of teen horror commedy, which isn't bad itself but I was totally wrong.Maybe the movie will be like that but the book is dark and existensial, it has its own soul pulsating and filled with pain and hope. It reminded me of Salinger and Joyce. The story is very original and beyond the surface of the contingence of a post apocalyptic world where zombies and humans fight each other I think the main theme is the solitude everyone experiences and the research for a truth, for something that matters and that can answer the primordial and inner questions we all have: who am I? why am I here? what's the meaning of life? and I think the answer is love. this book is a hymn to love and its power of changing people. I also liked the latin references :) I can't wait to read the sequel. I definitely recommend it! 

So this is my first blog...I am pretty random so I decided to start one..expect any kind of posts from me because I just have things on my mind and sometimes i feel like sharing..

This time I got inspiration from madonna's latest hit.."give me all your love"..it's almost 1 am and I have had this song stuck in my head for the whole week end..partly because the cd is gonna be released on monday so the song keeps being played on the radio and I listen to the radio in the car and while I am working.

I like all kinds of music, but mostly rock and metal, altough if something sounds good and has decent lyrics I tend to like it to a certain degree. With commercial stuff I don't follow a specific trend..I like some songs and artists and I don't like others that might sound similar. Madonna is one of the artists I respect for her charismatic personality, innovation skills, changing looks and why not? scenic presence that includes talent at dancing and being on the stage.

That said I never bought any cd nor ticket to see her shows and I probably only know the super famous hits. This new song (if you don't know what I am talking about here's a link to her official video for the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cItHOl5LRWg) is once again a self celebration of madonna..quoting from the lyrics L U V madonna Y O U yuo wanna ( in a cheerleader choir style because the song was presented during the superbowl halftime) and it has a very commercial sounding beat and rhymes that are easily recognized and memorized..plus she sings in a bimbo girl voice to make it smoother and sillier and danceable and have a good mass impact. No wonder it is having a worldwide success. The lyrics are nothing special, they are about a girl warning players that their game won't work on her but they are simple and captivating at the same time, the chorus especially..it's the perfect song to sing with no efforts in the shower or while cooking..

Even seeing through this well studied and mass targeted discographic strategy I can't help liking and singing it! Good job madonna!
