so i got into this whole debate at work about my switching departments from running a register to pulling pallets and stocking shelves..
It basically came down to I shouldn`t take the position in my friends opinion bc he says its rough work and I`m a girl. I`m taller then he is and just as strong. He just sits in the security office all night and catches stoned kids trying to steal food to feed the munchies. As it turns out I`m the only chick in that department. He said I`ll hurt myself and then I wont be able to take care of my kid. I`ve done this work before though and I know how to lift.
So do you think its appropriate for women to work in the same department doings a "guys job" or should they be left to lighter duties?
