| Oh the JOY of the Holiday season! My parents have been divorced for 30 years. For many years, my dad lived in another state so Christmas day was always spent with mom. My dad recently moved into the same state as my siblings and I and wants to spend Christmas with us. Unfortunatley, mom never quite buried the hatchet with my dad and their divorce was anything BUT pretty. Bit of background: even though he was living in another state, he was as active as an out of state parent could be in our lives and mom did an amazing job in raising us. So, my question is should I have to pick between mom and dad or should I just invite them both to my house and tell them to call a truce for that one day? |
