| When did being a virgin become such a horrible thing? I mean just because someone chooses to wait til they find love doesn't mean that they are a freak or some kind of conquest to be had. I don't think it should be seen as such a big issue. Personally, I don't go around spouting off or preaching about choosing to wait til I find someone that I love or condeming those that choose to have sex. So I don't see why people automatically assume I am continueally going to be abstinent because of fear or waiting til marriage, or that something is wrong with me because I choose at this time not to have sex. And I don't understand why guys see it as a huge issue. I mean most men look at it as oh shes a virgin, I gotta get into her pants, or they see me as someone who won't put out so I am not worth the effort. And then there are the men that hear virgin and start treating me like I am this breakable thing that they need to protect. And further more, it's not some precious thing that is too important for a guy to take, as alot of guys think, it's something that I choose to give. Therefore, if I want to be with someone physically its because i want to give that part of me to him, to let him know how much I care for him and love him. I am a virgin waiting til I find love, so whats the big deal about that. I don't think being a virgin should be treated as a bad thing, as the way it seems to be in this day and age. So I wanna know when did being a virgin become such a bad thing? Feel free to comment, I welcome all opinions. Both from men and women alike. Do you think being a virgin is a bad thing like most people do today? |
