Just about time to have the next surgery on my foot. Don’t get a Cartiva. I was supposed to be able to walk normally again in 2 weeks, 2 years later my foot is worse than original.

One of my favorite customers here where I bartend just came in and announced to me that she has leukemia and a failing liver. Since she drank up to her diagnosis, she’s at the absolute bottom of the transplant list. How do you respond to that? I’m sad as can be for her. She’s only 23, maybe 24. It’s scary, brings the fact that life is so fragile right to the forefront of my mind.
Take a moment and just stop. Think about now. Not yesterday, not tomorrow. Think about where you are. Don't let the past hold you back or the future worry you. This is it, this is now. Live it to the fullest, you never know what's around the next bend.
Ok, now you can get back to your dreary life.
