My name is Paul Andrew. I am 31 years old and I live with my parents and my maternal grandmother in the borough of LaSalle in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. My birthday is on September 26th and I am the only child in my family. I do not have any brothers or sisters. I am a very devoutly faithful Roman Catholic, praying every day and attending Eucharistic services at church every weekend with my family. I am also a very strict follower of the Straight Edge lifestyle. I do not drink any alcohol, I do not smoke, I do not consume recreational drugs, and I do not engage in any sexual activities. For more information about the Straight Edge movement and its evolution, please feel free to read my Straight Edge Blogs. I am single and have never had a girlfriend yet in my life, though I have been good friends with girls. I am not yet ready nor secure enough in myself for the responsibilities and commitments of having a long-term serious relationship with anyone due to my current family circumstances, my current lack of employment and financial situations, and my own personal choices and commitments. I am not looking to find a girlfriend nor anyone specific for that matter from being on this site. I am just here to have some fun in my spare time, meet some new people, and hopefully make some new friends.
I am a kind, caring, respectful, sensitive, emotional, honest, loyal, reliable, friendly, compassionate, and understanding person, though I am also very shy, timid, and reserved at most times. But once I break out of my shell and I feel comfortable around the people I am with, I am usually a very easy person with whom you can get along. I will warn you, however, that I am very devoted and committed to my conservative systems of beliefs and the personal values I hold dear to my life, including the close devotion to my family, my Roman Catholic religion, and my Straight Edge beliefs. I may not completely agree with nor condone everything and everyone on this site. I ask, therefore, that you please respect my beliefs, even if they do not match your own specific outlook on life. I have chosen this path for myself, as you have chosen your own specific path for yourself as well, so we should just try to have respect and decency for one another, regardless of our differences and conflicting opinions.
Hmmm! I really have no clue whatsoever as to what else to say about myself! LOL. They say other people are always better at telling you about yourself, your ways, your personality, and how you act and react to certain given situations in life, so I guess that is true in my case also. :-) I feel I am just an average person trying to get through life one day at a time and trying to enjoy life's journey as best as I can.
Well ... I guess what I can say more about myself in addition to what I have already mentioned above is that I am so damned smart I feel like a genius sometimes and my brain is going to explode. LOL. But seriously, I know and understand so much about so many different things, I have been told countless times by many different people, both those who know me very well and those who have come to know me in passing, that I am too overtly educated for my own good. LOL. I have earned three undergraduate degrees from Dawson College, McGill University, and Concordia University here in Montreal over a span of ten consecutive years. I graduated in June 1996 from Dawson College with my Diploma of Collegial Studies (Diplôme d'études collégiales) in the social sciences. I then graduated in June 2001 from McGill University with my Bachelor of Arts degree, major in Canadian history and minor in geography. I also supplemented my McGill studies with some education courses and student teaching practice experience since I have always been fascinated with education, teaching, and learning. I then graduated in June 2005 from Concordia University with my second Bachelor of Arts degree, specialization in economics and minor in political science. So I guess with all this education under my belt you could say I am a geek in the social sciences. LOL.
I am currently unemployed, but actively trying to find a full-time job in the business, economic, financial, banking, social sciences, or educational administration fields in order to put the ten years of my university education to practical use. I have been searching for a full-time career in a field that I will enjoy, which I personally consider very important, but so far, most of the applications and resumes that I have sent out have seemed to have fallen on deaf ears, because I do not hear back from any of the places where I have applied for work. In the cases where I have been scheduled for job interviews, several days later I am informed that the position I was seeking has been filled and my services for employment are not required. I have been looking for full-time work for over three years now, without much luck, since graduating from Concordia University in June 2005. I am very interested in working in educational administrative services, student services, or as an educational consultant, advisor, or researcher.
"Those that know ... do. Those that understand ... teach." Aristotle (Greek philosopher, physicist and zoologist; 384 BC - 322 BC)
I love reading and writing. People have told me that I am a very eloquent, concise, and detailed writer and that I can convey my emotions and feelings very well in the written prose. But what is that going to get me in life? LOL. Guess I would be good at writing poetry for all you ladies out there. Yea, right! LOL. Other than that, I like watching professional wrestling, listening to music, playing video games, and surfing the Internet.
I am not very much of an outgoing nor sociable person. I am very much more reserved, to myself, and shy. Most of the people who know me personally have called me "introverted" and that seems to describe my personality rather well. Due to my Straight Edge beliefs, I am not into the bar or club scenes at all and I do not like to "party," so those things are not interests for me whatsoever. Such activities are not appealing to me in the least. The occasional social gathering is fine every now and then with my family, but I am seriously not into going out every night and every weekend just for the sake of "getting out" and "having fun." I only like having quiet and peaceful get-togethers with my family and just appreciate being with them in their company. I believe very emphatically that being in the company of people themselves and enjoying their presence is much more important than any socializing activities.

You Are An ISFJ (Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging)
The Nurturer
You have a strong need to belong and you are very loyal.
A good listener, you excell at helping others in practical ways.
In your spare time, you enjoy engaging your senses through art, cooking, and music.
You find it easy to be devoted to one person, for whom you do special things.
You would make a good teacher, chef, or child psychologist.
You are The Hierophant Divine Wisdom. Manifestation. Explanation. Teaching.
All things relating to education, patience, and help from superiors. The Hierophant is often considered to be a Guardian Angel.
The Hierophant's purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. Where the High Priestess between her two pillars deals with realms beyond this Earth, The Hierophant (or High Priest) deals with worldly problems. He is well suited to do this because he strives to create harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. The Hierophant's only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing, at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist.
Except in rare cases, every human grows and develops within a culture. We learn by living with others. The Hierophant represents such official learning, especially in groups. A Hierophant is someone who interprets secret knowledge. The Hierophant is a religious figure in a formal church setting. He wears the elaborate vestments of his office. His task is to bring two initiates into the church so they can take up their appointed roles.
Besides churches, there are schools, clubs, teams, companies, and societies. The Hierophant represents all of these, because his realm is structured groups with rules and assigned roles. Such environments emphasize belief systems: facts, rules, procedures, and rituals. Members are rewarded for following conventions. They develop a group identity. The Hierophant is one of three cards that focuses on the group.
In readings, The Hierophant often represents learning with experts or knowledgeable teachers. This card also stands for institutions and their values. The Hierophant is a symbol of the need to conform to rules or fixed situations. His appearance in a reading can show that you are struggling with a force that is not innovative, free-spirited, or individual. Groups can be enriching or stifling, depending on circumstances. Sometimes we need to follow a program or embrace a tradition, other times, we just need to trust ourselves.
ACTIONS: Getting an education, pursuing knowledge, becoming informed, increasing understanding, studying and learning, seeking a deeper meaning, finding out more, having a belief system, sharing a cultural heritage, learning a religious tradition, honouring ritual and ceremony, identifying a world view, following a discipline, knowing where to put your faith, conforming, following the rules, taking an orthodox approach, staying within conventional bounds, adapting to the system, fitting in, going along with the program, doing what is expected, being part of the Establishment, identifying with a group, being committed to a cause, devoting energy to a group, joining an organization, working as part of a team, feeling loyalty to others, being in an institutionalized setting.

Being a very devout Roman Catholic, the only Idols I will ever worship are God and the Lord Jesus Christ. All other so-called "Idols" are insignificant in my life.
Prayer For Courage
Dear God,
Give me courage, for perhaps I lack it more than anything else.
I need courage before people against their idle threats and against their false seductions.
I need courage to bear unkindness, mockery and contradiction.
I need courage to fight against evils, against terrors and troubles, temptations, attractions, darkness and false lights, against tears, depression and, above all, fear.
I need Your help, dear God.
Strengthen me with Your love and Your grace.
Console me with Your blessed Presence and grant me the courage to persevere until I am with You forever in heaven.
