Ok, enough of the joking around...



God works in the most mysterious ways. But he has always led me to where I want and need to be. He has blessed me with being able to go and see the most amazing places and people. There is not one regret in my life.



I am a off/on-shore Data Engineer/Mud Logger for a company called Geoservices. I travel all the time. Soon I plan on traveling and working all over the world. A good chunk of my time is spent in the Texas area and out in the Gulf of Mexico on offshore drilling rigs. Basically, what I do is assist in monitoring most of the important drilling parameters on the rig using instrumentation. A very important part of my job is to look at what is coming back up from the hole and tell them what type of rock formation they are drilling into. Some of the equipment we use is instrumentation equipment, gas detection (chromatographs), fluoroscopes, microscopes, and chemicals to get the information we need.



I am living in my hometown where I was born and raised. Good ol Vandalia IL. I moved back from Denver, CO in May of 2008. The only reason I moved back is because I was paying rent for a place that I was never at. Plus, I get to spend a lot more time with my family and two awesome nephews. Fundalia is just so much cheaper to live in. With my job I travel a great deal of time so there is no point in living somewhere that is expensive and a place I am not at often....



Here is what I did before I worked for Geoservices....



April 2008 - October 2008
I went to Williston, ND to stay with a friend and try to find work up there. I found a job near the Beach in Virginia. So, I took it and flew out there. I got there and flew back after 3 weeks. That place was just not for me! My dad needed some help on his property so I helped him out for a few weeks then headed down and did the gypsy thing in Wyoming staying at campgrounds and seeing some very beautiful country! Then, I headed down to Denver, CO and stayed with a good friend for about a month and took a temporary job near Hebron, Nebraska. I was running equipment for a construction company grading the ground for an ethanol plant that was going in. The only reason I took those jobs was because I was waiting for a position to open up with Geoservices.



January 2008 - April 2008
I worked for a company called Fluid Processors. That job was to work in Wyoming providing solids control services for the rigs. Basically, I had to maintain the equipment that recycled the drilling fluids on the rig.



April 2007 - April 2008
I moved to Sidney, MT and took two temporary jobs and worked for them at the same time until I found one I thought I was going to enjoy. One of my jobs was pipeline construction and the other was general construction. After about 3 months I took a job with a company called Epoch Well Services. The job was in Wyoming and all I did was drive around the whole state to maintain the instrumentation systems on Nabors rigs. I really enjoyed it but I could not handle the poor management and consistent problems with payroll. So, I started looking for another job and my manager found out and fired me! God works in mysterious ways! I would not be where I am at now if he would not have led me to this job!



March 2003 - April 2007
I moved to Warsaw, IN in March of 2003 and lived there until about July of 2006. When I first moved there it was to just get out of my home town because there was nothing there for me. I did not want to get stuck in Vandalia, IL for the rest of my life!!!! My first 2 jobs in IN I worked at the same time for about 6 months. My main job was taking care of mentally challenged adults at a group home. The second was a server at Bennigans. After that I took a job to run a car wash for a little over a year. Then, I left that to work as an Account Manager for a company called RentWay. After 2 years of that job I knew it wasn't for me! So, I joined the laborers Union to work pipeline construction... (Which is what sprung me into the Oil and Gas industry) When I joined the Union I moved back to good ol Fundalia (Vandalia, IL) and lived there for a year! Warsaw, IN was a great place and I made some great friends up there. All the lakes around there were freakin awesome also!!!



Birth - March 2003
I was born and raised in Vandalia, IL. For 19 years of my life I lived in the same house! It was nice not having to move while growing up! (If you call it growing up... HA!) Then I lived in an apartment with my mom and took some college courses while working crappy ol Vandalia jobs!



Well, that is my life and like I said, I don't regret anything!!!! I have made soooo many good friends all over the US and plan on making many more. I am a gypsy and proud of it. How many people can say that they have been to 37 states in the US. Plus, I have been to 4 providences in Canada! I will see the rest of North America very soon...


The outdoors is the place for me. If it involves the snow, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, or being out on the lake, I am down faster than the syndrome. I go out to the bars and clubs every now and then but I also like to stay at home and watch a movie or sit around and listen to music. If you like to party and have a drama free kick arse time.
