im leaving for afganistan going into combat on the 31st of oct. well what to say well heres a little about me im 28 i live in sc for the moment im a father of a 7 yr old beautiful little girl im a soldier in the us army im a infantryman i am very proud of that fact im linked with the 1/118th infantry unit company a while i was away training they deployed to afganistan i didnt know before i was a soldier what defined a man but now i know its not how popular you are or how many friends you have its what you do in the moment when everything is on the line its who you are inside and the values you carry with you integrity honor duty respect loyalty selfless service and personal courage this is what should drive a man and what drives me now in my life and since my unit is deployed i have decided to volunteer to deploy also and take on the challenge that i will face in afganistan its not because i think im superman its not because i think i am or am going to be a hero its because it is the right thing to do to be there with my brothers and maybe a young man will make it home because of this reason or i may save a life bonds will be made that will never be broken and there will be so many lives we touch and help we will help to make afganistan a better place so that children can play in the streets again and can go to school again and also have the luxury of getting medical treatment all the bullshit about terrorism yes we will fight that fight also but the familys that we help and liberate thats the reason i want to fight i fight with duty and loyalty to my country and the men that will stand next to me i take on this challenge with a smile and i am now proud to be an american soldier and a united states infantryman to all my borthers in arms i love you and salute you the liberals and reporters the college kids dont understand why we do it and talk shit well heres what i say the nest time a reporter or liberal or college kid gets in your face just smile and say your welcome for the fredome we protect for you to be able to voice your opinion the smile at his girlfriend bc she knows shes sleeping with a pussy this is my second tour they wont understand why some of us keep deploying and volunteering for tour after tour ive only been home 7 months since my last tour in iraq they never will im a worrier to the bone a soldier from the heart some of us like me are born with it some grow or get pushed into it ive had dreams since a child of war and as a child didnt understand why in my mind i dided in vietnam bc i always dreamed of that war and i belive thats why im the soldier i am today im proud of who i am and what i do im a career man and wouldnt like it any other way to fubar thank you this is one of the most supportive sites on the internet for military men and women alike and i wanna say thank you for the support and what you do .....
