My friend Steve and I was board and was playing the game "ROCK BAND" and then we had this crazy idea to make a Rock video for fun.... It's just plane silly and a complete waste of time & technology.... The music "Learn To Fly" by the Foo Fighters.
Love all kinds of music and all kinds of women! Right now I am single and never been married, With no kids... I am looking for somebody to share my days and lonely cold nights with... I need lots of lovin! But I am going without for now... but not by chose!
So I spend my past time with my second love and that is the bass guitar. I've played for over 29 years now most of it was professionally but now I just play with some friends from time to time when I get some free time and I play just for fun. I like to write a lot of my own stuff, most of it are themes. (Instrumentals)
I am currently working with a guitar and bass builder out of Seattle Washington, The BUTCHER. He is building me a custom built bass guitar to my specs and design, an instrument that I have designed back in my early childhood. It is called The GRIFFIN XII.
It will be a 12 string bass guitar. I usually don't call my basses guitar but for all purpose this is just as much a guitar as it is a bass. It is what is referred as a E.R.B. Extended Range Bass, in short it goes in pitch far lower then a bass dose and will exceed a higher pitch then a guitar dose. For those of you that are familiar with string tuning the strings are as follow from a low C# F# B E A D G C F Bb Eb Ab.

On board Preamp With sepert volume, + - 12db Treble & bass EQ and chromatic tuner. deadicated to the 12 piezo saddle pickups.
4 band Audere 3ZB EQ Preamp for the magnetic pickups. Their will be some more options & mods added on to his like a kill switch, balance between magnetic & piezo pickups and more.
Custom designed and warped 24 pole pickups with custom graduated string spacing.

April 13th 2008 Begging to profile the neck shape and some of the wood to be used on the Griffin XII.
May 4th 2008, Shaping the head stock & drilling the tuner holes. Pic also shows where dowels was used to strengthen the head stock.
May 20th 2008. The Butcher shaping and applying the carbon fiber ply on the back of the headstock.
June 9th 2008 routing 2 truss rods, put in truss rods, extra carbon fiber reinforcement in the middle, routed pickups and sound chambering body (Beast)
June 10th 2008 btw-waiting till routings done before i put on the fretboard, heres the lower wing almost complete and chambering to neck thru portions done.
July 25 2008 Thin layer of epoxy on Griffin blood wood fretboard.
Can't wait for it to get done, it's been in production now for over a year.
