Before the child....I was a vocal performance major . After the child.... I wrote a lot of music, I play guitar and piano.
As for listening.... I do listen to just about anything, omitting music of which I can not understand the words, usually this includes screamo hardcore, some rap and death metal...... Why write lyrics if no one can understand them, baffling.
