Good morning! Ok, question (I know its early but this is pure flat out bs in my opinion)...scenario - I work in a foundry setting -work your already exhausted employees til they are even more exhausted, inform them they will be working 20 hrs overtime this coming weekend, give them their Christmas 7 days off with pay, THEN at the end of the night inform SOME of them that due to seniority they wont be working next week or the week after New Years either (possibly longer) -technically they didnt say when those employees will come back- and not only that, but we found out that our glorious union is partially responsible for this...would that tend to ruin your day? It did mine, because alot of my shift even stated that it will be a mistake to not have us come in because we produce over 1/3 total of our shifts production and no one really knows our machines like we do...so we got a Merry Christmas and a oh yeah you got fucked, all in the same breath! I think my father was right, unions are not what they used to be, and they usually let you down more than help!
So are you for union jobs? Or against them? |
