This Hispanic couple and their 2 kids moved into the other half of the half-house where I live. 1 month later, the woman's cousin, her man and 3 kids moved in with them, totaling 9 people in a very small 2 bedroom apartment. Apparently, nobody works there, they have 2 great vehicles. 2008 Dodge and a full size SUV GMC. One with a $600 GPS and hook-up. Both loaded with Florida plates. They have over $300 worth of beer cans beside the house. The men sleep until 2-5 in the afternoon. I've been really nice about stuff, seeing as it's hard to find work, especially here, but I'm pretty sure they're not looking, either.
Saturday, at 1PM, I had started to finish a project I was working on for months and had to put off for awhile. Mostly hammering. The "Daddy" comes over accusing my kids of continuously banging the walls. I told him, "That would be me," as I put the hammer into his face. Then I told him that. by law, if I wanted to start hammering or firing up my power tools, I can do so starting at 6AM in this area and I was being extremely nice waiting until noon to start measuring and 1PM to start hammering, seeing as at that time, MY day is half over. Apparently, he wasn't happy with that.
To makes matters worse, with 9 people crammed into a small place,(don't think the owner knows yet, either) the garbage builds up quickly. The landlord pays for trash removal. 1 full mid sized dumpster on wheels. Holds about 4 full bags of trash. Recycling is separate, of course. Let's say I still have a bag and half waiting for disposal because the garbage men will not take it. Too much. Last week we had our dumpster overflowing full, with a trash can on the side, 2 recycle bins full. (mine)I go through one (large yard size stretch)garbage bag a week here and I couldn't get them to take it. These people aren't the only problem. Neighbors across the road think they can get free trash removal by sneaking over every trash day, early in the AM, to throw their stuff out. They break everything down and compact stuff to make it seem like recyclable stuff or small piles. It looks nice but it's still thievery. They throw their food stuffs, metals and other odds over the embankment next to the house, which leads to a town bike trail. Pretty sure this is what's attracting mice to this area from the fields. As of this morning, I have caught 45 mice this season. Yes, 45. I had gotten to number 12 with the humane trap before saying fuck it and killing them all. Even had to literally cut one in half to get the body free from the trap this morning. Ever cut a mouse in half with a pair of kitchen shears?
Now these people do work, abet a little. They have 6 kids, as well and probably pop more out soon enough. Their religion doesn't like "safe sex in marriage" or something. Total bible thumpers, they are. On top of the,"jobs," they own the 2 story home, 2 nice vans, a classic in the garage and kids have new stuff all the time. They also receive several thousand dollars a month for home schooling their kids. More kids, more money. They get or receive quite a bit of cash monthly, you'd think they could afford a measly $30 a month for trash removal, right? I'm all for saving a buck, but not at another's expense.

I don't even know why I'm typing this shit. I'm just really annoyed, I think. I could do shit legally but it would serve no purpose. These types of folks I have dealt with for years. They won't stop doing the stupid shit, the town will only fine them a small fine and they'd just start making my life hell or the children with petty stuffs. I'm not perfect, but damn, I'm not doing shit illegally or annoying others in the neighborhood, either.

TROUBLED actress Lindsay Lohan will pose nude for Playboy magazine, and will earn nearly $1 million for her efforts.

Lohan knocked back Playboy's initial offer of $750,000 to strip, but eventually agreed to sign a deal when they came back with an offer closer to her request for $1 million, the celebrity website TMZ reported.

The 25-year-old's nude photoshoot started over the weekend, sources said.

Lohan's representative said they could neither confirm nor deny the report, while Playboy did not immediately respond to TMZ's request for comment.

News of Lohan's Playboy deal comes just days after she was handcuffed and briefly jailed last Wednesday, when her probation was revoked for not adhering to the terms of her community service - set for stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Los Angeles boutique earlier this year.

The judge advised Lohan to complete 16 hours of service at a morgue before a probation violation hearing set for November 2.

Ohio mother charged with raping infant son

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio woman is accused of raping her 10-month-old son, videotaping it and sending it to her Michigan boyfriend.

Ashley N. Jessup, 24, was indicted in Columbus on Thursday on two counts of rape, one count of child endangerment and one count of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor.

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien says the rape charge could land her life in prison.

O'Brien tells The Columbus Dispatch that Jessup emailed the videos to her boyfriend in Battle Creek, Mich., where his ex-girlfriend discovered them and contacted police.

Jessup is being held in the Franklin County Correctional Center in lieu of $1 million bond. Court documents do not list an attorney for Jessup.

The newspaper reported that it wasn't immediately clear who has custody of the child.

Behind Spider-Man's mask -- a new, multi-racial face

In the Ultimate Universe of Marvel Comics, Peter Parker -- the original alter ego of Spider-Man -- is dead, and his replacement is a half-African-American, half-Latino teenager named Miles Morales.

Wednesday, a new book -- Ultimate Comics Fallout #4 -- debuts, and the world will get to see the new web-slinging super hero. The book will be a glimpse into the Ultimate Comics universe after Peter Parker, when a new, multi-racial Spider-Man arrives on the scene.

"He swings into action, kicks butt, and when he pulls back his mask, there is another face there," said Axel Alonso, editor in chief of Marvel Comics.

"When the opportunity arose to create a new Spider-Man, we knew it had to be a character that represents the diversity -- in background and experience -- of the 21st century," Alonso said. "We have a president of mixed heritage; in fact, I'm of mixed heritage, this is just the world we live in," he continued.

With Spider-Man one of Marvel's most iconic super heroes, the simple fact that Peter Parker will no longer be the man in the Spider-Man costume will be enough to turn heads, regardless of his ethnic background.

"The key thing is (that) the 'wow' factor goes without saying," Alonso said, but he believes Miles Morales will be loveable and recognizable to long-time fans of Spider-Man, as well as relatable to a whole new demographic of readers.

"Miles is on the same journey of self discovery (as Peter Parker), he's nerdy, is good at math, and lives with his parents in Brooklyn," he said.

Peter Parker, a white orphan from Queens, died in Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #160 fighting his arch-enemy, Green Goblin.

"He died a hero, he died fulfilled," Alonso said. "He's really dead too, not come-back-to-life dead," he added, referring to the occasional propensity in the comic-book genre for reviving supposedly dead characters.

Ultimate Comics Fallout #4 will only be a preview of the new Spider-Man, according to Alonso. He will be the main character of a new series called Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #1, which debuts in September, Alonso told CNN. He said this new series will explain how Miles Morales took over for Peter Parker, introduce his family, and let the reader get to know him better as a character.

Spider-Man is one of Marvel's most recognized heroes around the globe, according to Alonso. He first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962, created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko. Since then, Spidey, as he is often called, has appeared in several animated and live-action television shows. Spider-Man comic strips have appeared in syndicated newspaper comic strips and many films for the big screen.

Marvel released the first Ultimate Marvel imprint of comic books in 2000. The Ultimate imprint is an alternate world from Marvel's regular universe, where Parker is still alive and fighting. "The Ultimate Universe is known for its aesthetic and its attitude," Alonso said. "It is responsible for a lot of comic book innovation."

Is the keyboard completely replacing the pen?

Indiana school officials have announced that students will no longer be required to learn cursive writing, effective this fall.

In a memo to schools in April, state officials said schools can still teach cursive as independent school protocol, but students will be expected to be proficient in using the keyboard, The Tribune-Starreports.

District and school officials didn't find the announcement particularly surprising.

From the Associated Press:

"The skill of handwriting is a dying art," [said East Allen County Schools Superintendent Karyle Green]. "Everything isn't handwritten anymore."

The Tribune-Star also reports that parents are worried about children knowing how to sign their names. The SAT and Advanced Placement exams also currently require handwritten essays.
